LRAT 's charging policy generally exempts bookings for teaching from charges. Non-teaching bookings might include a meeting of academics discussing teaching, a conference, training course or seminar for which a charge is being made or a recruitment event.

| Hire Charges : from 1st August 2011 Please note that these prices include an insurance charge - previously added separately. For customers outside the University (for instance student societies, the Guild of Students, NHS departments etc) VAT is additionally charged at 20%. Prices will be revised again from 1st August 2012 for equipment hire:.
* charged at £70/hr of the meeting. eg a 3 hr meeting with 1hr use of the PA system will cost £210 plus technical support # The day rate has been discontinued ¶ minimum booking and charging of 4 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays § maximum length of hire, three days University customers of LRAT should purchase through Proactis. We do not accept IBCTs. Clients should make their booking first through our web booking system indicating which account can be charged* in case of default , an email will be sent with the charge. Then within 5 working days a purchase through Proactis should be initiated and approved. LRAT has a purchase order template - IOLRT. The order line should be IOLRT-EQBOOK which defaults to qty 1 price £0.00. Leave the quantity at 1 but amend the price to our quote. In the footer the comments line should contain the LRAT booking number (which begins EB..) * The account code should be the code you wish to be charged for the booking eg LLLL GBM888 External Customers pay VAT External customers - including student societies, charities and the Guild can pay by cheque made payable to 'The University of Birmingham' and must add a further 20% to the total for VAT. |
